Summary

The Pigs' Departure occurred in Session 2 when Safiya revealed to the party that she had negotiated the freedom of The Pigs in exchange for information about the smuggling operation at the Pinecone. All five pigs—Paisley, Fajirald, Lutro, Carl, and Mayor—left to go to a pasture down the road, devastating the party and particularly Sucks, who had formed a deep bond with Fajirald. Before departing, Fajirald left Sucks a Discman as a parting gift. During Session 2, after the party had been investigating the smuggling operation at the Pinecone, Safiya confessed to the group: "I might have told the pigs they could go free." She explained that she had made a deal with Mayor, believing the information he provided about the smuggling operation was valuable enough to warrant their freedom. Safiya expressed regret about the decision, saying, "Guys, I feel really, really badly, but I thought. I thought maybe they gave me some good information. Turns out I just had to come upstairs and find this secret door to open."

The news hit the party hard. When Safiya announced "The pigs are gone," someone protested, "No, wait, even Carl, especially no Fitgerald," expressing particular distress at losing Fajirald. Safiya clarified that "The pigs actually wanted to go do their own thing. There was like a pasture down the road that they wanted to go hang out in," attempting to frame the departure as the pigs' choice.
