Five Fingers
Summary
Five Fingers is a Thunderhogs gang member who serves as a guard. Despite the unusual name, the character has "at least 10" fingers according to Dayna's observation during Session 11 of the campaign. Five Fingers' most notable appearance in the campaign occurs when Winslow attempts to summon this guard over the Ear Cuff Communication Device network to investigate Sucks, a suspicious "Road Sandwich." By this point in the session, however, Five Fingers has already been knocked unconscious by the party and hidden in a room staged to look like a sleeping quarters. Vasso exploits this situation by successfully impersonating Five Fingers' voice through the ear cuff system, deceiving the other Thunderhogs and creating a tactical diversion.
Appearance
Five Fingers is described as large and muscular, fitting the physical profile of an enforcer within the Thunderhogs organization. Beyond this basic description and the ironic observation about the character's finger count, no additional details about Five Fingers' appearance are provided in Session 11.
History
Session 11
The party encounters and incapacitates Five Fingers early in their infiltration of the Thunderhogs compound. After knocking Five Fingers unconscious, they arrange the scene to make it appear as though the guard is simply sleeping in a room.
Later in the session, when Winslow becomes suspicious of Sucks and calls out over the ear cuff network, "Could we get some. Can we get someone over here? Five Fingers? Could you send someone over?", Vasso seizes the opportunity to impersonate the unconscious guard. When Dayna questions the name choice—"His name is Five Fingers?"—and notes "He has, like, at least 10," Vasso nevertheless commits to the deception.
Vasso first imitates Five Fingers responding "I'll be right there" to Winslow's initial request. Building on this ruse, Vasso then creates a false emergency by claiming through the ear cuff system to be "held up downstairs" with "something weird going on in the basement." This fabricated crisis successfully convinces Winslow and draws guards away from The Assembly Hall, where the party needs to operate without interference.
