Winslow
Summary
Winslow is a Thunderhog gang member stationed in the assembly hall of the Underground Thunderhog Facility. In Session 11 of the campaign, Winslow confronts Sucks, whose disguise as a gang member wearing Ashford's vest raises his suspicions. Winslow questions the infiltrator and attempts to call for backup using the Ear Cuff Communication Device, inadvertently giving Vasso an opportunity to impersonate Five Fingers. After the party's distraction incapacitates or distracts other guards, Winslow identifies Sucks as the threat over the communication network, blowing the party's cover and triggering their urgent escape.
Winslow serves as a persistent antagonist throughout the infiltration sequence, remaining suspicious despite Sucks' attempts at deception. His recognition of the party's deception represents the turning point when their covert operation becomes a desperate flight.
Appearance
No physical description of Winslow is provided in Session 11. As a Thunderhog Gang member, Winslow carries and uses the gang's ear cuff communication device, which allows contact with other gang members throughout the facility.
History
Session 11
Winslow first notices Sucks in the assembly hall when something about the disguised infiltrator seems off. Winslow turns to another gang member, Abdul, and asks, "Does he look familiar to you?" Winslow then directly confronts Sucks, demanding, "Name, kid. What's your name?"
When Sucks claims to be named "Road Sandwich" and explains that the vest was won in a bridge game, Winslow asks the critical question: "How come you're wearing Ashford's vest?" After Sucks rolls an 11 on a charisma check, Winslow is partially convinced but remains suspicious enough to escalate the situation.
Winslow puts a hand to an ear and turns away, using the ear cuff to contact Five Fingers. Winslow says, "hey, so we got some kitten here. I don't know what his deal is. He might. Might be a spy. Could we get some. Can we get someone over here? Five Fingers? Could you send someone over?" When Vasso, impersonating Five Fingers over the network, responds that he'll be right there, Winslow replies, "All right, make it quick."
Later in the session, after the party's distraction causes guards to fall asleep or become incapacitated, Winslow is heard over the ear cuff network trying to wake others up. Winslow identifies the threat, saying, "That kid," indicating that Sucks has been recognized as the infiltrator. This identification marks the moment when the party's cover is definitively blown and their escape becomes critical.
