The Assembly Hall
Summary
The Assembly Hall is a large central room within the underground Thunderhogs facility. In Session 11, the hall serves as both a gathering space and the primary obstacle between the party and their objective: the Dressing Room where the mayor is being held. The hall contains long tables and connects to the dungeons, making it a strategic crossroads within the facility. The party must navigate this space while avoiding detection by the gang members present.
Description
The Assembly Hall features long tables where Thunderhogs members gather to eat and rest. The room is spacious enough to have accommodated dozens of gang members during earlier gatherings, though by the time the party encounters it in this session, the numbers have dwindled significantly. At the back of the hall stands a door leading to The Dressing Room, the party's ultimate destination. The room also provides access to The Dungeons, with guards able to rush across the hall toward the basement when alerted.
History
Session 11
When the party observes the Assembly Hall, they find it significantly less populated than in previous encounters with the facility. Where dozens had gathered before, only "maybe like a dozen" to "8 to 10" Thunderhogs members remain, as many have been drawn away by Vasso's deceptive calls for backup in other areas of the compound.
The party spots Sucks at one of the long tables, "sadly eating a chicken leg and potato salad alone." When Vasso creates a false emergency claiming someone is "breaking down the door" in the basement, the party witnesses guards beginning to "start rushing across the room" toward The Dungeons, further reducing the number of gang members present in the hall.
The remaining guards are ultimately distracted when Monster the cat enters the room and proves irresistible to the Thunderhogs members with its adorable appearance. This distraction creates the opening the party needs to cross the Assembly Hall and approach The Dressing Room where the mayor is held.
