Rescuing the Mayor

Summary

In Session 11, after Sucks knocked out the Thunderhog Leader, the party freed The Mayor of New Smoke from captivity. The rescue became complicated when Sucks insisted the mayor promise to tell Greta about the good job done, leading to an extended argument while the mayor remained tied up. Despite her frustration and attempts to say anything to be freed—including calling Sucks "a living God"—the exchange continued until Vasso moved to physically untie her. The mayor then revealed knowledge of an escape route through the central hall of New Smoke and discovered a mysterious oblong silver object in the unconscious Thunderhog Leader's pocket, which became the subject of immediate conflict.

Details

With the Thunderhog Leader unconscious on the ground, Vasso entered the room and rushed to the mayor's side to begin untying her. Before the rescue could proceed smoothly, Sucks made a request: "Can you tell Greta that Sucks did a good job?"

The mayor, still bound to the chair and clearly exasperated by the situation, responded with mounting frustration. She eventually declared: "I will tell Greta that you are living God. I don't give a fuck. I don't care about any of the things that you're talking to me about right now." Despite this extreme promise, Sucks and the mayor continued to argue about exactly what she should tell Greta.

Kat attempted to moderate the situation by suggesting the mayor simply say Sucks is "really nice," adding a comment about Sucks and Greta potentially being in love. While this argument continued, Vasso worked on freeing the mayor from her restraints.

Once freed, the mayor immediately took charge of the situation. She announced: "This is the central hall of New Smoke. I can get us out of here. I can sneak out." She then began searching through the pockets of the unconscious Thunderhog Leader on the ground. When Sucks apparently moved too close, "she pushes you away, like, hard now."

The mayor's search yielded results: she found "a little... kind of oblong, shiny silver object" in the Thunderhog Leader's pocket. Her immediate reaction was to attempt to stomp on the mysterious object, but Sucks moved to grab it, creating a new point of conflict.
