The discovery of the matching symbols provided crucial evidence that the Pinecone serves as a node in the Sniff Lord's smuggling network and strongly implicated Dunko Guzman in the organization's operations.

When the party discovered the hidden locker inside Dunko Guzman's apartment at the Pinecone Restaurant and Spa, they found the symbol carved into one of the locker's interior walls. Sucks immediately recognized the marking, stating: "I saw this outside in the alleyway. This is the symbol of the sniff lord." This recognition connected the symbol to an earlier sighting by Sucks and Katniss in the alleyway outside the Pinecone, where they had encountered the same distinctive oval-and-circles design. The matching symbols in both the external alleyway and the concealed interior locker established that both locations were part of the Sniff Lord's network. Sucks voiced the connection directly, wondering aloud: "I wonder if this guy works for the Sniff Lord," referring to Dunko Guzman. The presence of the symbol inside Dunko's private hidden compartment provided strong evidence of his involvement with the smuggling operation.
