Sucks Prepares to Attack
Summary
In Session 3, after Vasso successfully uses his I Am the Law ability to command The Sniff Lord to back away cautiously, Sucks seizes the opportunity to attack the retreating creature. Taking out his ragged bow, Sucks aims for the pressure point in the creature's neck that Safia has been insistently highlighting. The moment sets up a Volley roll as Sucks prepares to shoot, though he briefly considers adding poison to the arrow before realizing he lacks the Poisoner ability—not a starting move for his class.
Details
The event unfolds immediately following Vasso's successful command. Sucks asks, "Okay, can I attack it? I have a bow." He declares, "All right, I guess. I guess time for me to break out the big guns. So I take out my ragged bow, literally tied together with rags."
Sucks draws a bead on The Sniff Lord, specifically targeting "the button in his neck that Safia won't shut the fuck up about." Safia continues to press her case even as Sucks aims, pressing her face through the portcullis and insisting, "shoot him in the neck right here."
Before taking the shot, Sucks asks, "Okay. Can I put a poison on the end of the thing?" He quickly realizes he doesn't have the Poisoner ability—it's not available as a starting move for his class.
Shawn calls for the mechanics: "All right, so that's a volley. So 2d6 plus dexterity."
