Summary

In Session 5, Sucks and Kat scout approximately half a mile ahead of the main party as the group approaches New Smoke. Monster the cat pads along behind them on the dirt road. Details

As the party moves toward New Smoke, Sucks and Kat separate from Abdul and Brad to scout the route ahead. Monster follows behind the two scouts as they walk the dirt road. During the scouting mission, Sucks rolls an 8 on his scout ahead check and elects to make a discovery rather than avoid danger.

While walking, Kat mentions Cow Pies in passing conversation. Sucks immediately fixates on the term, completely misunderstanding its meaning. He becomes convinced that cows produce actual pastries and leave them on the ground. The conversation escalates as Sucks peppers Kat with questions: "You gotta tell me about these fucking cow pies. It's all my mind is thinking about now. How similar are they to pumpkin pies?"

Despite Kat's attempts to explain that Cow Pies aren't very similar to pumpkin pies and that their nature depends on what you feed the cow, Sucks remains fixated on his belief. He tries to reason through the mechanics of cow pie production, asking: "So milk comes out of a cow's boobs. Where do the pies come out of?"

Sucks's obsession with finding these supposed pastries continues to drive the conversation. He expresses amazement at this supposed bovine behavior: "They make pies and then just leave them places. I've never seen a cow do this. We gotta find some of these pies. I gotta get one of them."

As the misunderstanding plays out, Shawn describes the scene: "So you and Sucks and Cat are walking ahead, monster padding along on the, on the dirt road behind and talking about the kind of pies that come out of cows."
