Discovery of the Mysterious Card
Summary
At the end of Session 3, Sucks discovered an unidentified object while sitting by a stream with Fajirald. Leaning back on the grass, Sucks felt something small beneath his hand. The object is approximately the size of a playing card, made of rigid material, red on one side and white with a black stripe running down one of the long ends on the other. Neither Sucks nor any other party member could identify what it was, though Sucks speculated it might be a credit card. The discovery ended the session on a cliffhanger, with the card's purpose and origin remaining unknown.
Details
The discovery occurred as Sucks and Fajirald sat together by a stream following their reunion. The GM described the moment: "You sit down and the grass sucks. And you, you put your hand behind you to lean on it and just watch the water rush by. And you feel something under your hand."
Upon retrieving the object, the GM provided its description: "It's about the size of a playing card. It's thin. It's made out of a hard material. It's red on one side and on the back it's white with a black stripe down one side."
Sucks examined the object and called out to the group: "Guys, I found a credit card. Is it credit card?" When asked by another participant, Sucks confirmed: "You don't know what it is?"
The card remained unidentified by session's end, suggesting it may be another artifact of pre-disaster technology similar to other items the party has encountered during the campaign.
