Seeking to understand the nature of the strange creature before him, Vasso performs "a little bit of a prayer" and asks his Mother Earth God lady, "Is this evil?"

The divine response provides Vasso with a completely neutral reading. As described, "You get no evil vibes off this thing. Nor do you get good vibes. You get totally neutral vibes." This result establishes The Ice Blob as an entity without moral alignment or intentionality in the traditional good-versus-evil sense, suggesting it operates according to its nature rather than any concept of morality.
