Summary

During Session 11, The Mayor of New Smoke violently struck Vasso when he attempted to prevent her from destroying The Silver Object. The mayor backhanded Vasso across the face, dealing 4 damage and causing him to cry from the pain. In response to seeing her friend hurt, Cat punched the mayor with significant force, knocking her unconscious with a single blow that dealt 7 damage.

Details

The confrontation began when Vasso moved to grab the mayor's foot as she attempted to stomp on the mysterious silver object. Rather than allow the interference, the mayor backhanded Vasso, striking him directly in the face and dealing 4 damage. The blow was severe enough that Vasso began crying, tears welling up as he looked at the mayor and asked, "why?" The mayor ignored his plea and continued her attempts to destroy the object.

Witnessing the attack on Vasso, Cat immediately retaliated by punching the mayor in the face. Cat rolled a 12 on her Hack and Slash move, dealing 7 damage with the strike. The punch connected solidly, knocking the mayor unconscious. As the mayor's body fell to the ground, Cat justified the attack by saying, "that's what you get for punching Vasso."

Despite being mortified by the violence of the situation, Vasso's heart swelled at Cat's defense of him, touched that she had come to his aid.
