Summary

In Session 5 of the campaign, Benedict conducted an experiment to test whether Cold (Goo Ball)'s cold-producing properties could freeze water for commercial ice production. Details

The experiment began when Benedict proposed testing the goo ball's properties for practical applications. Benedict asked: "To experiment, do we have any, like, small containers that we could fill up with water and then put them close to it to see if it freezes them into ice that we could then cool our drinks with?"

Before the experiment commenced, Sucks made a substantial wager, declaring: "I will bet you 1000 coin that cold does not freeze water."

Benedict filled a wooden cup with water from a nearby pond and placed it near Cold (Goo Ball). Rather than freezing the water, the goo ball exhibited unexpected behavior: "the goo just sits there like, it slinks down into its, like, almost puddly form. And then it reaches a little pseudo pod forward the cup and starts to dissolve the cup into its mass. And the water starts to spill out into the dirt."

Following this outcome, Sucks claimed victory in the wager, stating: "See, still up in the air. Cold doesn't freeze water, I don't think, because that is not frozen. It dissolves cold, dissolves water, if anything." Sucks further concluded: "Yeah, cold eats wood. That's what we proved."

Benedict observed that even if the experiment had succeeded, the result would have been compromised, noting the water source was a pond rather than clean water.
