Summary

In Session 4 of the campaign, the party conducts their final preparations in Rex Tree before departing for New Smoke. Cat purchases a bag of books to read during the journey, while Sucks visits a novelty goods shop where he engages in an unusual negotiation. After buying a Goblin's Mustache, Sucks attempts to trade away dangerous Burning Goo he wants to dispose of, but the transaction takes an unexpected turn when the shopkeeper becomes fascinated by Sucks's Purple Goo. Through successful parlay supported by Safia, Sucks trades one liter of purple goo for a canister of the burning goo—a toxic, silly-string-like substance that burns skin on contact. The shopkeeper provides extensive safety warnings and swears Sucks to secrecy about the transaction's origin.

He first purchases a Goblin's Mustache for 2 coins before attempting to convince the shopkeeper to pay him to dispose of Burning Goo—a dangerous substance he describes as similar to silly string but which burns exposed skin. The shopkeeper declines this proposal, but when Sucks mentions his Purple Goo, the merchant's interest is immediately piqued. The shopkeeper asks, "Holy shit. What is that?"

Sucks responds with confidence: "It's purple Goo, man. I told you I'm an expert at this. I got my PhD in goo."
