Guard Uniform

Summary

The guard uniform is the distinctive outfit worn by security personnel in the Underground Facility. In Session 11, these uniforms become significant when Sucks appropriates one as part of a disguise to escort the party upstairs while posing as a guard taking prisoners. The uniform's eclectic assembly of clothing items reflects the informal, patchwork nature of security in the facility.

Properties

The guard uniform consists of several distinct components that together create a recognizable look. Each guard wears a jean vest covered with patches, horn pants of various styles, a tank top underneath, and a bandana worn on the head. The jean vests appear to be personalized, as evidenced by one guard's vest which has the phrase "my hug is my log" stitched on the back.

When Sucks dons the uniform, the fit is imperfect—a teenage boy attempting to pass as an adult guard presents certain challenges. Despite this, the uniform serves its purpose as a disguise for the infiltration plan.

The guard uniform becomes central to the party's plan when Sucks decides to use one as a disguise. After observing the guards, the party notes their appearance: "they've got like, you know, jean vests with like patches all over them, Horn pants of a variety of styles. And like this guy had a tank top."

Sucks takes particular notice when he turns around one of the unconscious guards and discovers that "on the back of the guy's jean vest, he stitched the words my hug is my log." This detail becomes part of the uniform Sucks appropriates for his disguise, though as a teenage boy, he doesn't quite fill out the adult guard's clothing properly. Despite the imperfect fit, Sucks uses the uniform to present himself as a guard escorting prisoners—specifically Abdul and the rest of the party—as they attempt to move through the facility without raising suspicion.
