He pressures her directly, saying "just tell us where this thing is and we'll let you go."

The Mayor consistently denies any knowledge of the casket, insisting "I don't know what you're talking about. I don't know where it is. I don't even know what it is." Her responses suggest she genuinely lacks information about the object, creating a impasse in the Thunderhog Leader's interrogation.

The leader has made promises to his gang based on recovering the casket, declaring "We're gonna find the casket. We're gonna retrieve it. Here is going to give us everything we've ever dreamed of" and proclaiming "No more blindly digging in the desert." However, Safia observes during the session that "he's telling everybody that tomorrow's the day, but it seems like he's no closer to knowing what he needs," suggesting the leader's confident deadline may not be supported by actual progress toward locating the item.
