Yassandra's Shed
Summary
Yassandra's Shed is a small dwelling located approximately 12 feet from the New Smoke food court. In Session 9 of the campaign, the party used this structure as a temporary base while planning their approach to a nearby foundry. The shed exemplifies the typical housing found throughout New Smoke—ramshackle structures roughly the size of a large shed that provide basic shelter to residents. Yassandra occupies this dwelling, though the party gained entry during the owner's absence.
Description
The shed is a small, roughly constructed building with a ramshackle wooden door fitted with a metal latch and padlock. The structure has no windows, though light penetrates through gaps and holes in the wooden boards. The interior contains scattered belongings strewn about the floor. In one corner sits a makeshift chamber pot fashioned from a metal oil drum that was sawed in half with dulled edges. At the time of the party's entry, this receptacle held a 6-inch layer of waste.
The doorknob was smashed off by Sucks Benedict during the party's forced entry, leaving the door damaged but functional.
History
Session 9
The party approached Yassandra's Shed while regrouping near the food court in New Smoke. Sucks Benedict broke into the structure by smashing off the doorknob, allowing the group access to the interior.
Once inside, the party used the shed as a staging area. Cat climbed onto the roof of the structure to gain a better vantage point for scouting the foundry. From this elevated position, Cat identified a potential entry point into their target location.
The shed served as a temporary refuge for the group, providing cover and a base of operations as they prepared for their next move. Fo and Safia remained with the others during this planning phase.
