Stone Altar
Summary
The Stone Altar is a rough stone structure located at the center of the Underground Cavern Beneath Rex Tree, discovered in Session 2. The altar serves as the focal point for the Robed Cult Figures' activities and bears substantial food offerings, including vegetables, fruits, peppers, potatoes, apples, and particularly large quantities of acorns. The altar's presence and the nature of its offerings suggest a connection to the smuggling operation the party has been investigating.
Description
The altar is constructed of rough stone and sits in the middle of the underground chamber. Its surface is heaped with various food offerings in considerable quantities. The offerings include multiple types of vegetables—among them leafy balls that may be endives—as well as fruits, peppers, potatoes, and apples. Most notably, acorns appear in particularly large numbers among the offerings, suggesting either abundance in the surrounding forest or special significance to the cult's practices.
