Session 3

During Session 3, Safia attempts to use Shalala to breach the Portcullis blocking her way. She employs a direct, forceful approach, hammering on the portcullis to identify points of weakness in the heavy wooden beams. The strategy proves unsuccessful — the portcullis is too sturdy to break through using Shalala in this manner. This encounter demonstrates both the weapon's limitations as a demolition tool and the formidable construction of the barrier Safia faces.

Session 5

The shalala sees creative use during an encounter with a pumpkin creature. Rather than employing the weapon in its intended combat role, Safia adapts it to address the immediate tactical challenge of catching pumpkins. The chain weapon serves as the structural framework for an improvised net, with hoodies fashioned around the shalala to create a robust scooper. The modification proves successful enough that the improvised equipment is compared to lacrosse goalie gear in terms of its catching capability. By fashioning hoodies around the weapon's chain structure, Safia creates what is described as "quite robust of a scooper net," with the chain providing the necessary framework to hold the fabric in place while maintaining enough rigidity to function as a catching implement for thrown pumpkins.
